High Torkage (Instrumental)

from Risen From The Ashes by Cryptic Prophecy

/

about

Cryptic Prophecy has always strived to be different from the pack, and one pet peeve of the band is how under-appreciated (and often underused) bass is in many metal bands, especially modern ones, so Andrew proposed a bass solo track where their own bassist could shine (and indirectly pay homage to other bands who have has bass solo tracks such as Manowar and Metallica). The band members have always liked to make stupid jokes about Alex's last name and Andrew in particular had urged him for a long time to release a solo album called "High Torkage" which never happened, so it ended up being the title of this track instead. Musically it serves as a fusion of most if not all of his varying influences.
